About Me

'A Little About Me and My Site'

Originally from England, but now living in the States for a few years now, wanted to build a site that ecompasses my passion of watching old English Movies.  I have been able to design and provide a site by the teachings of Omni Business Solutions, as a long time employee I have found what is taught by Jeremy Cobb and his SEO, internet marketing program to be far superior to any other information that is out there.  Biased opinion you may say, but really Omni Business Solutions has some great learning tools such as the SEO Guide, the staff are great to work with and the owner Jeremy Cobb is outstanding to work for, always encouraging creativity and the pursuit of continued education.  By following his program I have been able to create a money making website with high traffic and low bounce rate.  A site which I hope you enjoying looking at.  I certainly love working on it and of course, collecting my monthly checks.  My goal as a Military wife who will have to move on to the next location eventually, is to be able to supply my income from my website, which is a goal that is insight already, but i love my job so much at Omni Business Solutions that I don't forsee leaving here until we get orders to move.

I work on my site as much as I can, which can be hard at times when I have been helping Omni clients with their sites all day long,  If you love British Classic Movies, check back often I really am trying to keep adding pages.  I am currently working on setting up a complete A to Z of British Actors then cross referencing that with British Movies and synposis for each one.

So if your here to look at my site, go ahead, send me any comments if you like, or you are interested in learning how to builder your website through Omni Business Solutions feel free to ask me questions, I hope you enjoy my site as much as i do working on it.

Movie for August

Posted On 08-16-2008 , 10:51 PM

AUGUST

Its August already, someone mentioned Christmas to me the other day,  I am a bit late in posting Augusts movie recommendation, for those that may not have noticed I have been making some upgrades to my site, whilst taking on this task I was wondering what movie to talk about, I admit that I am partial to alot of the same types of movies, such as Agatha Chrisitie and Alfred Hitchcock movies and I love British comedy classics such as St Trinians and the Carry On movies so i wanted to talk about something completely different,

I recently caught 'Gunga Din' (1939) on TCM a couple of weeks ago and since I had never seen it and absouletly love to watch Cary Grant i decided to have a go and watch, i normally do not have much patience for any films whose theme is remotely to do with British Wars.

This movie is loosely based on Rudyard Kiplings poem, it involves three British soldiers and a native waterbearer who must stop a secret mass revival of the murderous Thuggee cult before it can rampage across the land in 19th century India.  Although not strictly a British film its was produced by RKO Pictures, i count it ok to be included in this site because of the Cary Grant factor.  The movie stars Cary Grant, Victor McLaglen, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Joan Fontaine, Eduardo Ciannelli, Abner Biberman and, in the title role, Sam Jaffe.

Its funny in parts and indicitive of its time of production,, but it is a somber story thats told  with a powerful ending.  If you get the chance I highly recommed taking a gander.
